Dr. Rodrigo Munro-Wilson
Dr. Rodrigo Munro-Wilson was born in Mexico City and spent his childhood and teenage years between England and Peru. He received his medical degree from the University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, in 1998. Dr. Munro-Wilson graduated with one of the top scores of his class and then spent one year doing research in the Neurology Department of the University Hospital "Jose E.Gonzalez" concentrating on the metabolism and nutritional management of stroke patients.

He subsequently carried out 8 years of postgraduate surgical training, first General Surgery in hospital Christus Muguerza(2000-2004) and afterwards Plastic and reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital (2004-2007). In addition he trained in Aesthetic Surgery and Breast reconstruction at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Houston, Texas and completed a Fellowship in Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss in Iowa City Plastic Surgery (2007-2008).

He has traveled extensively around the United States for clinical rotations, visiting top plastic surgeons and is very active in national and international meetings and courses.

Dr. Munro-Wilson is a member of Northeastem College of Plastic Surgery, the Mexican Society of Plastic Surgery and is Certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has written numerous papers in journals, collaborated in several medical publications and presented scientific papers at local and national meetings.

On the personal level, Dr. Munro-Wilson is an active conservationist and uses his skills in reconstructive surgery for treatment and rehabilitation of injured birds of prey, collaborating with Mexican Wildlife authorities to return this magnificent creatures to their life in the wild. He is also active in various wildlife conservation societies and has contributed to several books and publications on the subject.
